I am proud of my parish because I live in a liberal town where the Church has to be all things to all people and does a pretty good job.
Anyone else proud of their parish?

Thu, March 27, 2008 - 8:12 AMI love the parish in our small town with it's historic church.
We hear all the time how much people love to come for a visit because our church is a "alive".

Re: Parish Pride
Tue, May 6, 2008 - 4:40 AMwww.stleoparish.org .......a pretty decent place which houses a pretty diverse parish sharing a Jesuit 'thirst' for justice and renewal. As the first...and still largest parish in Tacoma, it is able to balance service to military families, the new upscale residents, local social services(largest food bank in town...), outreach to Catholic Worker members and the gentrified "guests" they address in the 'hood, academics from Catholic prep as well as public University teachers and students.......oh, and a few of us civilian Lib. Theology 'holdouts' still around. No, I don't know how they mix all this up into "...a raggedy band of believers."
