I'm mostly a lurker but after listening to the international news I'm starting to feel like I need some big-time prayer for myself & others.
I'm on my way to the Republic of Georgia in a couple of weeks for a singing camp and I'm getting a little nervous about the saber rattling between it and Russia. I'll not be in the disputed territory (I'm pretty sure) and the group I'm going with has been going for 9 years... but still...
Could folks pray that the traveling to and fro as well as all the time I'm there is safe & on time? I'm more worried about causing my sweetie a heart attack from not knowing I'm safely arrived and gotten away than anything bad happening in-country.

I did get an e-mail from the group saying that 1. the disputed area is as far away as possible from where I'll be (It's in the NW and we'll be in the SE.) 2. Their high-up government contacts don't expect any escalation. What a relief! I'm also registered with the US embassy.

She says it'll be "fine" and to just be willing to "go with the flow" or lack thereof. trusting that she's who actually chose this trip for me.... I signed up for this one (the group has several European camps) because I couldn't immediately place it on my mental map.
